There can be no denying the fact that cookware made from cast iron needs to be seasoned at frequent intervals to keep them from gathering rust as well as to prevent them from losing the non-sticky quality. But many users of cast iron utensils consider this effort to be quite worth it as the non-stickiness is said to be brilliant. Stainless steel, as long as it is cleaned with a non-abrasive cleaner, will retain its shine while at the same time, any and all stains would be seamlessly removed. While stainless steel cookware needs to be wiped with a dry cloth to avoid any water spots, those made from cast iron need to be dried by putting it on a stove.

These are the primary points of difference between utensils made from cast iron and stainless steel castings. Both are needed in kitchens because of the individualistic qualities they offer. As mentioned earlier, cast iron has been used for a very long time, but stainless steel has caught up but not been able to move ahead yet due to the innate qualities of cast iron utensils.
